Default LS6 Clutch + 5.3L Truck + 18 Months + ...

LS6 Clutch + 5.3L Truck + 18 Months + hot lapping at track 26 times and 50 miles of heavy street use every week, when there is nice weather = !!!

So what do you think of the hot spots and the pressure plate fingers? I am replacing the LS6 combo with the LS2/LS7 combo! We will see how it goes! I also need a bigger garage!

Found out that the clutch is forward adjusted. So I can either adjust the pressureplate and sell the LS2/LS7 clutch or scrap the LS6 and go with the new clutch?!

the hot spots on the flywheel and the thinness of the disc i would proly do the ls7 setup jsut so you wont be taking it apart in another 20k miles or less

everything i've been researching on ls1tech about clutches shows that the ls2 setup last longer and is more streetable then aftermarket stuff, but no comparisons really to the ls6 and ls7

only downside of the ls7 stuff is it's 12lbs heavier than the ls1 style clutches

The disc is still in really great shape, but since I have the new clutch sitting here I might as well put it in! If it does not work then I know I can go back to the LS6.

I was putting Valvoline OEM Dexron III ATF, but I am going to switch to Royal Purple Syncromax.
