for a 2wd SS, yes. there is a difference in the lowering spindles from the AWD to the 2wd.

My brother and cousin both had there VHO's lowered with Belltech torsion keys and McGaughy spindles. I thought they used the AWD spindles, BUT i could be wrong. (probably am).

They have 04 VHO's and the 2wd SS wasnt out when they lowered there trucks. Im going to look for the boxes in my basement and see if I can come up with a part number.

Are the 04's any different from the 05's

I lowered mine with McGaugheys spindles and I had to send back the spring and exchange for torsion keys. I didn't know that it had torsion keys. McGaugheys thaught I had a 4wd and didnt know it. you could here people in the background laughing when I said it was not a 4wd but a 2wd.

yes, there are much larger front brakes on the 05's.

How low did you go with it? VHO or SS?

It was suppose to be 4/6. But I think it went lower. But I had to add alot of tension to the torsion bars and I used air shocks to the rear in order to clear the massize stock tires. 275/55/20 will not fit with at that height. They still rub a little, and alot with a passenger.

I want a 2/3 or 2/4 drop. What would be easier, torsion keys or spindles? Also, leafs or shackles in the back? Any opinions, experiences, or details will be helpful.
