Default Lowering the truck tomorrow, have a few questions...

I will be installing a 2/4 drop tomorrow and I have a few questions...

I will be installing new springs up front, do I need to use a spring compressor to get the spring out?

It will help, but no.
I supported the LCA on the inner side(closer to frame) lifted it slightly and removed the two bolts, and slowely lowered the LCA and took the spring out the back. that way i didnt have to mess with balljoints.
Going back in is easier because the spring is smaller

I never thought of doing it that way, I appreciate the advice! Sounds like I got a plan now.

I did it the same way.Saves a ton of time instead of taking apart the ball joints. Just use a floor jack and lower it down, spring wont go anywhere. Its not a bad job.

also, if i could go back and install the hangers again...i would prolly take the bed completely off the truck...just get some buddies to help u lift it off

i think it would give u more of a comfortable working space...make sure u mark exactly where the bolts are though

did mine on my own...dont be afraid to try new **** out...

but i also lowered the control arm to remove the front springs...i got some spring compressors from autozone...like 50 bucks...but u just take them back when ur done and get 100% money back so....
