Lowering a 4X4
#1
I have a single cab Z71 and have no use for the 4x4 other that 4WD launches. My drop currently consists of
Front: McGaughys Spindles, and McGaughys Torsion keys.
Rear: Flip kit, 2" shackles, and Air shocks at 130psi
I have the keys decranked about half way but set them to about half way due to nasty camber. Also I don't want to risk my CV axles by the way they look right now. Anyone here has a 5/7 drop or 6/8 without causing any damage up front?
This is the way it sits right now and pics of my CV angles.

Truck looks good at that level its at...I'm not sure how bad your CV angle is or how much they can take, I've always tried to get the angle out as much as possible on my u-joints. How often do these cv's really fail?

At extreme angles they fail often....however, on a launch the front end will rise, so I bet if you put your camera aimed at them, you will see they are nearly flat on take off, which is perfect.
