lowered 4wd pinion angle...

for those of you that removed the 2" rear block on their 4wd, did you change your pinion angle? if so how much shim(2 degrees, 4 degrees) did it take to correct? haven't measured mine yet but my pinion is "nose up" in relation to the driveshaft rather than nosed down. thanks.

I havent pulled my blocks yet, but I put on some drop shackles. I never even checked my pinion angle. Its been like this a little while, and I havent had any problems.

On this site the guy took out the blocks AND 2" drop shackles. The only thing I could find remotely close to your question was this...
But I may have missed something, I dont recall him mentioning pinion angle, so i dunno.
The two-inch reduction in rear height provides a more neutral stance, eliminates axle wrap during part throttle launches, and drops ten pounds of unsprung weight. This is an inexpensive and easy mod that I would recommend to anyone with a 4x4 regular cab unless they plan on utilizing every bit of this trucks 9200-pound towing capacity.

i have a 6 inch drop and havent changed mine, shackle, hanger, moved block to top of leaf b/c im to cheap to get shorter u bolts. my light stays on b/c of this so i guess ill have to do something but not really worried right now.
