Lower control arms or spindles?
#1
Looking at options for lowering the front end. I have a '99 rcss 4x4. It will be boosted and will be 4wd launched. Curious what you guys have for setups and what your shafts angles are. The djm lower arms allow for a 3" drop and the spindles only allow for 2", which do you think would be the better option?

I'm probably 2" lower right now on Atomic's Coil over conversion and its great. I may still go lower, it'll be with spindles to keep from changing anymore suspension and steering angles than needed.

My goal is 3-4" in the front, maybe spindles and a 1-2" lowering key to adjust on the fly. I know that will throw off the alignment but ill manage. I live in new England and the roads are **** already, so no need to make the ride any more uncomfortable.

Coilovers! You can get up to 4-5" drop with just coilovers on stock spindles and LCAs, and it will ride way better than drop keys. Check out the threads in my sig or send me a PM for more info.

Yea 2-3" is flat CV, but you really want slightly negative so when the front end rises a bit the cv is flat then. This is how mine sits. I was just saying you could get up to 4-5" of drop if you wanted, but you can basically go from 5" of drop to ~4" of lift depending on what shock and spring you use. I will be glad to help you pick out what you need.
