I wouldn't go less than 3200. My 3400 isn't that bad at all to DD and is very snappy when I want to stomp on it.

That cam demands a 34-3600 stall it will be a dog until 3000 where it will really open up. A 3400 tuned really well will have great street manners and stall up really well at wot.

I would go with a 3200 278 converter. Should be really tame and tight until you put your foot in it.

I wouldn't go any lower then 2800, I have a 2800 in my 2500 and it drives 99% stock till I get in it, it still isn't crazy then. I have a 3200 in my tahoe and it is a low end FTI and still is fine for daily driving. I rev to about 2000 under normal driving and it doesn't take much more to go up a hill. I would guess a more expencive stall would also be little bit tighter under light throttle.

I think stock is 1500,1800?

Is this for a 60e or did you swap in an 80?

I agree with most. With a cam that big, the stall you have is good for powerband launches. However, If you want something smaller, I wouldn't go lower then 3400.

I have a triple disc circle D in my rcsb, 3600, and it flashes to nearly 4000rpm. Very streetable. The key is a good converter to help the driveability

So most of you would agree a happy medium would be a 3200 stall then? Can i order direct through Circle D?

BTW im still running my 4l60e. Would you guys recommend i install a Monster Shift kit in my tranny if im installing a new converter just to tighten everything up a little more too? I think those Monster Shift kits handle up to 650hp dont quote me on that, seem like pretty legit kits though.

Give Roger a PM (aklowrider). He is a dealer for both Yank and CircleD and can get you setup

I would call circle d and talk to them directly. No one can spec a stall like Chris. He will help you pick the exact stall you need for you build and desires.
