Default looking into gears and posi for my 06 silverado

Hey guys, I'm looking into upgrading my rear end to posi, and i want to throw in some 4.10 while I'm at it. do any of you have any brands you recommend? I've been looking at the eaton posi unit. any recommendations for gears? thanks

Good choice on the Eaton. I think I used to run gm gears, not aftermarket.

I sell gears on the daily and never see motive returns for what its worth. Most returns are from Richmond Excels but their OEM gear is really nice.

have any of you guys heard anything about Rons Machining service? and the Auburn posi/gear package he sells for like $600?

1999-2008 GM 8.6 Truetrac Posi 4.10 Excel Gear Package - Ron's Machining Service

Or more likely this setup with the Eaton truetrac. are these gears really just **** that will break? id rather do it right one time.

Like I said before I would stay away from excel gears. The excels sell the best because the are cheap but they don't have the best track record. Motive gear all day long over excels.
