Default long to short bed conversion...

Have any of you guys done this before on a 99-07 1500 or 2500 gm truck?

I have an o3 RCLB gmc 2500, and been tossing the idea of making it to a short bed.

I know ill need the frame shortend, bed, leafspring, and driveshaft from a 1500
anything else....rearend maybe??

It shouldn't be that hard. May have to shorten some brake lines and gas lines depending on where you cut the frame.

I hope this is a diesel. At least then it would be worth it imo,I would trade my truck in a second if they offered a rcsb duramax powered silverado.

It's too long that's not something you hear very often.

Plasma a mig and a different bed and you are in business should be fairly straight forward. I believe long or shortbed the springs are the same. The fuel tank for the shortbed is shorter though and is a smaller capacity due to lack of space. Take the driveshaft to a shop and get it shortened and you are good to go.
