LETS TALK ABOUT IT.... what can you remove and how light can you make it




i have a 2000 regular cab with manual locks/widows... i would love it to be around 3800lbs or less

I'd like to know also. So far I removed jack, spare, hitch, and added rollpan.

spare tire hitch jack and the fuse box cover ha ha
maybe the pickupbox door

passenger seat?(be carful from the airbag sensor not to disconect it unless you remove the batary + and -)

i guess that about it?

and changing wheels and hood will help even with tires some are very havy and some are lightweight

I've got a toolbox in the back of mine that probably needs to come out for the sake of weight reduction, but where does that leave me when I need tools on the side of the road
Oh wait, almost forgot...this is a GM; **** never breaks

I took over 10 pounds of wiring out of mine:

This is just the litte bit that came out of the cab harness. The pile from the whoe truck is so big it makes me think it's never gonna run again.

swapped fuel tank for fuel cell, swapped rear leafs for 4 link swapped seats for comfy race seats, swapped rear bumper for roll pan. nothing has been cut on the frame, estimated weight loss 400-500 lbs

before i did the bumper th truck weighed 4016 with me in it, most say a bumper weighs in the hood of 50-60? so now would say im under 4k
