Default Let's talk 6L80E !!!

Does anyone have this transmission in-house? Is anyone seeing if it can be bolted-up and programmed properly? How about that paddle-shifting steering wheel? Can you order one over the counter yet, GMPP or otherwise?

Let's get this 6-speed, all-clutch, automatic transmission show on the road !!!

Programming will (is) the issue. It will be a few months. It can be ordered via the General. There were a few r&D units sold to shops but most bought a unit from the dealer.

Do you know of anyone who has a 6L80E? I'm not looking for theory or conjecture in this thread, I'm looking for names (i.e. shops, people) who have one of these transmissions in-house and are in the process of figuring it out.

I talked with chuck from FLT, told him I wanted to be the first one to to it. first he said they are not all that strong and nobody makes any after market parts for it, It is to new. He did say that if I could get a hold of one to ship it to him and he will pull it apart and see what he can make stronger. So I am looking for one out of a wrecked 07. I have some friends looking through there junk yard contacts. If I can get one for a good price I will ship it to FLT and will go from there.
