here is my Z71, I took out the blocks, added 2" drop shackles, and lowered the front 3" with keys.

Mcgaughy drop spindles
Mcgaughy drop hangers
Belltech torsion bar keys
Belltech drop shackles
Took out the lift blocks and trimmed the bump stops

This is the route I plan on going...I'm hoping to save up for some Joe Gibbs 20's and do that exact drop. Will I need new shocks and how's the ride quality with the 3" drop in front?

Bud,
The ride quality is still good. I haven't added new shocks although I would like to. When I go lower this winter, I am going to find some new shocks though.
I couldnt believe at first that these shocks were ok, after dropping the front 3" and the rear about 5". It did take away from my travel, but its not so bad. The furthest drive I took was this summer from here on Long Island to Carlisle PA, and the ride didnt suffer too much.
