don't call it a comeback, it's just the facts . Your post is straight up misinformation and speculation on your part. I'm not in the market to buy anything but yes I own a truck with a 4-link that offers more adjustability and articulation than a ladder bar setup ever will.

Got any pictures of it or a write up? I'd love to learn more on going that route

Assassin bars work a lot like a ladder bar setup. Main reason I built my own ladders bars is to run a bigger tire, if I were to stay with a smaller tire I would have stayed with assassin bars and leaf springs.
Ladder bars will work just fine for you. If you plan to really get serious, make 900-1000+, and want unlimited adjustability, launch with all the power you can make off the line then go with a 4 link.

Another thing about ladder bars, you really need the front springs and shocks to help with weight transfer

This. 4 links allow articulation much easier than ladder bars. The only thing you have to contend with is axle-steer. A triangulated 4 link will have less axle -steer than a parallel 4 link with a pan hard.

You can get articulation out of ladders of you mount them close to the center of the of the vehicle on the chassis end. Of course that also means you would need to consider building a beefier cross member, or a well designed K-member on the chassis.
