yeah. I know. With the shift lever in drive its hard to spin but the guy who rebuilt it said its normal and good to go

I don't know about the output shaft being hard to spin, but I know Monster's products have a TERRIBLE reputation. Particularly when it comes to warranty exclusions, low quality parts and overoptimistic HP ratings.

Oh man, that kinda sucks. Was hoping they were half ways decent. Person who did the rebuild for me said it looked liked a decent kit but I don't mess with transmissions, so I know nothing about the rebuilding of them.

For the output shaft I did some research and found that it can be hard to spin one way.

Default metal grinding noise from torque converter???????

I have just replaced my transmission and my torque converter, neither have ever been ran before. When i started my truck there was a very loud screeching noise that came from the torque converter. I immediately turned off my truck and unhooked the cover for the torque converter. when i looked in between the torque converter and the transmission the new paint on the torque converter had been scraped off and metal was showing.Does anyone know what could be causing this, before i rip out the trans. again?
