Yes...keeping the 4l60e - which build though?

Trying to decide between RPM Lvl VI and Performa Built Lvl II. Diff of about $800 (RPM is more) when all is said and done. Both are highly recommended but RPM uses a billet output shaft and my tuner has a Lvl VI in both of his Magnacharged TBSSs & they've never missed a beat. I'm NA right now putting around 400/435 to the tires and I've already burned through two "upgrades" to the current unit. I know, I know...do the 80 swap but I want to stay away from the extra weight and I'm confident in the upgrades of late to the 60e re-build market. Plans of adding the TVS after summer so need it to handle 550+ hp/tq.
Anyone have experience with either one?
Thanks...

I have a TransbuilderGuy Level 5 and its rock solid. I have about 100 more hp and tq than you and with his other customers, im not even close to touching any worries or limits with this.
It is 100% worth calling him.

I have an FLT LVL 7 with upgrades in the classifieds. it has the billet input, billet output, sonnax drum with extra clutches, a trans-brake, deep pan, FTI converter and all the secret machine work that FLT is known for.... just incase you want as beastly of a 4l60e possible for half price
I had it built for a 500rwhp motor with a 200-250 shot on tap. never got a chance to try the trans-brake or nitrous, but it was running 1.46 60' on motor off the foot brake.
I've successfully run Performabuilt in the past too. the billet shafts and sonnax drum are a great piece of mind though

or you can pull the trans brake out and sell it to recoup some money.

Yeah - it seems that the quick reaction to 4l60e failure is to do the 80 swap. I have to admit I was leaning that way until my tuner, whom I trust implicitly, convinced me that there a more than a few quality 60 builders out there who can produce a comparable, lighter unit for honestly just about the same $ as would be involved in a swap when all is said and done.

Would have thought you would have sold it by now at that price. Not sure I need the trans brake - she'll still be my DD after all.
