Default Keeping tires inside fender wells

Rear end/18"rims???tires 2002 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT standard regular cab what's the widest Tire I can use on this truck where it won't stick out of the fender well the bigger the better as far as width goes and I probably need a negative offset to make sure I tuck the tire under the fender well correct this is out of my league

Kinda need to know your rim specs before you start picking tire sizes.

Once you know your rim specs you can pick the correct width tire to stay within the fenders. With 18in rims you'll likely be in the 265 or 275mm width tires, maybe more if you pick wider wheels. Then from there you can pick your sidewall height to help pick your overall rolling diameter. Like if the truck is lowered then you can't really go big with the tires.

when it comes to keeping stuff under the fenders, wheel diameter has less to do with it than the offset & width of the wheel. after them two, the diameter plays into how thick the section width can go.

You didn't say front or rear. If you are drag racing only, then go ahead and mismatch, but if this for daily then you really want to just put all four the same size.

I have an 02 reg cab 2wd. I am stock height up front, and with 265/70/17, I WILL rub at a hair before full lock DEPENDING ON THE TIRE. I had michelin LTX that rub on the sway bar, and currently running continentals that don't on a 17" x 7.5 factory wheel with a 31 offset.
