Default Different brand/model tires on front versus rear......

i want to go with a different brand/model tire in the rear of my truck so i can get a wider tire in the back. i have nitto's all the way around and they don't make a tire in the size i want for the rear, in that model. The tires i have now are v rated. Do i just have to make sure i get a tire with an equal higher speed rating for the rear? or do i need to make sure i get a tire with equal or higher traction rating for the rear, to keep it safe?

does my question make sense?

You need a tire rated for the maximum speed you think you will be traveling. V rated is more than enough for a truck.
You should get a tire with close to the same traction rating as your front tires so you have balanced and predictable handling.

That's pretty much what i was thinking, but i wanted to be sure. With all these high tech tires now a days, it's not like running cooper cobras versus BFG radial t/a's vs dunlop GT qualifiers.......... those days are over with 22's!
