Thumbs up Just Had Eaton and 4.10's installed

I really like the off the line performance better , but you sacrifice the top end freeway passing power i had with 3.42's.

By the way does anyone know how far off this sets my speedometer?

Thanks guys, and if anyone is looking for a good install shop in the Houston area just PM me and will send you the details

Now its telling me to service brake system. is that because of the install? i didnt think they had to touch anything besides the rear discs and calipers. I have about 35k on the truck so maybe it is the brakes but they havent made a sound and i checked the wear indicators and they seem to be fine.

The installer told me that it might have to with the speedo being off, but when i get the tune friday hopefully, it will fix that.

i think it's something to do with the speedo also. mine does the same thing. it doesn't bother me though.

Your speedo should be roughly about 20% off. So at 60 it would say something along the lines of 72. At 80 it would be reading close to 100.

It just doesnt accelerate at higher speeds like it used to. It's hard to explain, maybe when i get my speedo re-calibrated i will do a more precise review of this mod.

I'm thinking about going from 3.23s to 4.10s with a LSD. Is anyone else unhappy about their topend? I enjoy dropping it into 2nd at around 70mph and taking off like no other. But it's gutless off the line.

i have the same top end as with the 3.42 gears maybe even more. your brake lights are coming on due to the speedo being off, after tune your lights will be gone.
