Default I've searched and searched - performance diff between the vette servo and transgo HD2

I am going to get something for the tranny soon.
I have heard about these 2 products a lot.
My main concern is WOT 1-2 shift, it's so SLOOOOW.
Got headers coming, and feel it's only gonna get worse.
I usually let off at shift in effort to be nice to it.
I don't think I want to try to tune it out, I've heard that's a bandaid fix, and too much line pressure is bad. I could be wrong.

As far as I know, the servo may take care of the problem.
But will the HD2 be of any added benefit?
How exactly does an HD2 help reliability?

And lastly,
If I get the HD2 is the servo neccesary? how will the perfomance be different with the HD2 'tuned' for the stock servo vs tuned for and with the vette servo?

Please help
I have been a manual guy forever.

I called FLT,
They said just get them both, every truck tranny they work on gets 'em both,
except some get the sonnex servo.

Still like to hear any answers to my questions

Vince is the man. I would take his advice on transmissions over anyone else at the moment. I have the HD2 with a vette servo and Vince helped me tune out the harsh 1-2 shift that I was getting with my Magnacharger tune installed. If I had to pick just one to do I would do the HD2. But the Corvette is cheap insurance in my opinion. I would buy everything from Vince and have him setup the shift kit the way you would want it.

Get the 1-2 Vette servo, the sonnax 4th gear super hold servo and TG HD shift kit. Just tell Vince how you want it to shift and he will put you in the right kind of shift kit level.

I just ordered the vette servo yesterday.

How will the 4th gear servo help? towing in OD?
Until I get about 700hp I'll never see a WOT 3-4 shift , maybe 150mph?

I guess I'm such a newb with these auto trannies, I'm not looking forward to the transgo install.

I've read the install write ups, I'm sure I can handle it. It's just all new to me.

I think I'll wait to see how the vette servo feels.

I'm sure I'll get the HD2 after a little while.

Just ask Vince about the 4th gear servo. Towing or not, your tranny will still want to hunt out of OD too much during normal driving. The sonnax 4th gear servo is your fix. If your going to do the 1-2 servo. then it would be wise to do the 4th gear servo while your there.
