im eating carrier bearings
ok so i heard a noise and it reminded me of the noise i heard last time my driveshaft was slapping all around the the carrier bearing was nearly broken in half. i do have leveling shackles without the 1-2* shims or whatever so i assume this is the culprit but why after 2 year after the install would things start breaking? it happened a couple months ago for the first time and i think im hearing it again....hopefully im just going crazy

I think he means the driveshaft carrier bearing on the 2 pc driveshaft (ECSB) - check the u-joints well for wear, if they have extra slack they may be placing extra stress on teh carrier

Did you do the hangers and shackles or just shackles, carrier bearing relocator, and 2* shims?

Mine used to do the same thing..... I replaced the Carrier Bering with one from AC Delco and haven't Had any problems since... I'd reccomend making sure that the driveline is straight aftwer it is installed under the truck That's what was killing me before I took My truck to the Driveline Shop and they told me that the alignment of the Driveshaft was incorrect.....

ok well i think i found the deal, i only heard it with my cutout closed and i only have 2 of the 3 wingnuts holding it on so ikm pretty sure it was rattle from that because even driving next to cars and walls(reflecting sound up to the window) when i have the cutout open i cant hear any noise. but it is loud anyways. who knows. i guess ill just wait again until the whole car shakes and bounces for 800rpm through 1 and 2nd or when the shaft starts slapping my exhaust pipes
