I should be in for a time of it then

I wished you lived closer lol...

I guess this is another project to add to the list, damn you!!

Most definitely. First time I went to test it I was going 40mph and slammed on the brakes and the abs kicked in on dry pavement. My tires are 325/65/18 all terrains and weigh 120lbs each, so its not exactly an easy to stop combination.

I have only had to do one panic stop since I did this swap and right after I remembered why I wanted to do this swap so bad; if I wasnt wearing my seatbelt I wouldve kissed the windshield.

bodyguard, I wear a 54 regular jacket so I have pretty big shoulders to fit in there. I put a towel over the brackets on the seat since they are sharp to lay on. Thanks for the compliment, ill pm you my number.

thanks guys... looks like i have a reasonable understanding now. worst case scenario, i get an older hydroboost with the master cylinder and buy (or god forbid: make or have fabricated) some high pressure lines and do the same thing with the T fitting on the low pressure side that you did. i'd been looking at a new MC, but this is miles above...

i have this one question:

if i get the hydroboost with a MC, the ONLY things i should have to concern myself with is: the pedal placement and the hydro lines, right?

i wouldn't have to worry about the pushrod length, right? only if it stops too good and i want to adjust it, right?

You dont need a new master cylinder, but if you reuse your old one it will sit at a slight angle. Not a big deal if you keep keep fluid in it.

Booster, lines, and pedal are the only components you need.

Found a good place to order Hydroboosts from if anyone is interested. Check out G&R Auto Parts (gandrautoparts . com) They have HB units for $75, some of them are factory new un-used units. They also have PS pumps for $50. They sell on ebay too, but it might save you a few bucks to just call or e-mail them. I ordered my HB unit and PS pump today for $150 and I had to pay tax since they are in OK, out of state buyers shouldn't have to pay tax.

Here is one of their ebay listings. LINK

Thanks. I made my way over there from the properties of the missing pictures.
Probably won't need them anyway. I think have everything but some hose for the return and only work til noon tomorrow so I'm planning to pick up some rubber hose and install it after work. Hopefully I have the proper tool to get the pulley off the pump. I think I will see if I can borrow the proper tool from a parts store. I look forward to having brakes that don't suck!
