Exclamation Help With Pedal Removal

I've got this conversion in the bag if I can only find the pedal pivot bolt head, get the right size socket on it and zing the 18mm nut off of the driver's side of the assy.

Everything else is done. What am I doing wrong other than trying to wedge my 6'3" 230 frame up under the dash using my meat hook hands.. Surely this can't be this hard..

Any advice/help appreciated.., technique, bolt head size on passenger side..I thought I read in one of the DIY stickies it was 16mm but it feels bigger to me.
Accessibility is awesome by design, but the booster is out and I'm ready to reassemble so I can finish up the rest of the motor and hear it run...

Thanks, V1

lay on your back and look up towards the dash. You should see the bolt. It's probably an 18 mm.

Just did the swap, in a 2wd rack and pinion steering ecsb silverado but the pedal is a lot higher than the accelerator. Using a hydroboost unit from an 03-04 express van. Using pedal part number 15906961. The stock pedal is lower than the new pedal. Any suggestions??

Crazy. In my Yukon the brake pedal is too high compared to the accelerator. I wonder if it is just like that stock. My truck had hydraboost stock.

I hate to say it but the vans are some what of a bastard set up. As mentioned, I believe the rod length is also different.

I only take them from 2500 trucks for that reason. I also get all the gaskets and anything specific.

2500 trucks and the suvs used the same rod length and pedal assembly, my hydroboost unit came off of a tahoe iirc... When i realized the unit i had gotten from the junkyard started leaking i got one to replace it using the part number for a 2500....

So finished up the swap. Turns out the express hydroboost rod is about 1⅛" longer. The pedal was about 2 inches shorter than the emergancy pedal. Ended up having to grab a reman unit from O'Reillys. It all bolted right up to my rack and pinion steering. Having the crow foot wrenches in 16mm and 18mm helped immensely. Took some pics of the difference between the van hydroboost (silver accumulator) and the Silverado hydroboost (black accumulator).

Interesting. My Yukon has a unit like the silver one from the van.
