Default Hydraboost power Steering pump?????

Is there a way to make a Hydraboost pump operate like a normal vacuum assisted power steering pump or? I'm doing a 6.0 motor swap into a 84 Blazer and the donor 6.0 came with a power steering pump with 3 lines.... I'll admit, first time I have ever seen or tried using a pump like that.... I hooked up the 2 lines like I've normally done before and I thought the line coming out of the side of the pump was a breather line or something.... I started the motor everything seemed fine till I shut off the motor and all the power steering fluid shot out(Big Mess)....Can I cap off the 3rd line or something or should i just find a normal 2 line pump?

Hydroboost PS pump and regular vac assisited brakes PS pump are the same. Only the reservoir is different. The HB reservoir has an extra fitting for the low pressure return. Yes...you can cap the fitting off.
