Thanks, I'll check that out as well. If the 2 parts are the same, why would GM have 2 different part #'s

I think each year has its own part number. I am also working on getting this tb converter. I am ordering 4 of them. I wonder if we can get a group purchase going. I would be in for 4.

I was going to be ordering one this week but if I can get a better price through a group buy I would be interested. It's going to be Wednesday before my friend can get me a price from GM. I was planning on ordering that one or the one from Ebay by the end of the week. If this were to happen, I hope it is soon.

With that said, It still looks like a hell of a lot better deal than a $600 Yank and it does have brazed fins unlike a stock GM converter. If I can get a better deal buy buying some place else, please let me know where?

Please, don't take this as a smart-a$$ response. I'm just looking for a good deal on for a good part.

Thanks,
Bob
Were did you here that the OE TB converter wasnt furnaced brazed?

Actually, I just assumed that. All of the aftermarket manufactures and rebuilders brag that theirs are furnace brazed. I took that to mean that that was an improvement over OE. I could be 100% off base.

UPS delivered my converter today but it will probably be a couple of weeks before it's installed.
