I'm not too worried about spending $20 or $30 too much. I'm just wanting to make sure that I get the right part for me.

With that said, It still looks like a hell of a lot better deal than a $600 Yank and it does have brazed fins unlike a stock GM converter. If I can get a better deal buy buying some place else, please let me know where?

Please, don't take this as a smart-a$$ response. I'm just looking for a good deal on for a good part.

Thanks,
Bob

lol... I dont get offended at all and I do see your point.... I was just saying that for the price of that ($250) you can buy one at the dealer for a little bit more... I know they have the brazed fins but is it worth it??? like stated above, I have never heard of a stock TB converter go to ****, yet.... dont get me wrong if I knew that dacco selled them for $160 before I bought mine I would of bought it from them too...

good luck with your decision, either one you buy, you'll sure be happy with it...

OK, you guys have me convinced. I don't mind paying Eli2112's price (don't worry Jim, he has more) but, like I said, I like a good deal.

I've be doing some checking and I have a friend of a friend that can get me a new GM converter "for a great price", we'll see. The catch is that I need to give him the GM part # for him to get me a price and order it if his price is acceptable.

Can someone help me out with the GM part #? I've tried searching gmpartsdirect but haven't found the correct part #
