I've changed the fluid in mine front and rear. Something like 2 quarts 75W90 synthetic per axle and 20 minutes each, only because it takes time to squirt the oil in by hand. Something like $40 in oil and 40 minutes time.

You got raped IMO.

well i'm going to fight em again and try to pay much less as possible i mean i can't not believe 400 for both front and rear diff fluid

you should go up there with some KY jelly and let em know that unless they charge you a whole hell of a lot less, then they better get ready to see what it feels like...

Sounds to me like they didn't listen to what you said and assumed you meant you wanted to flush your tranny/xfer case instead of axles.
I had a shop quote me X amount to change an oil pan. They call me up when it's done and told me about 300 over because they said i needed new Hoses, Distributor cap, Thermostat and belt. I was like WTF? no i didn't! Told em to put my **** back on and i'm payen what i was quoted.
Amazingly enough they did.

they didn't think I knew anything about vehicles. I used those same hoses and belts even after the v8 swap.
