Just wondering how many spacers you guys use in your shift kits. I put mine in last night and went with 2 of them in.

I see you have a 3000 stall going in so I would use 1 washer. I didnt use any in my current setup it still hits 2nd gear pretty hard with the vette servo.

Well I have got 2 in there right now. I will just see how I like it. If I dont I will just pull one out and try it then(If its still intact). I started to put in 3 but I though that I might should wait on that.

I have two in mine with the large holes drilled and a Vette servo. I have the TCI 3000 and it hits 2nd way to hard. The damn thing will try to go sideways when it hits second. Nothing major it just jerks it real hard. If the roads were wet I would be in deep **** but I never drive it in the rain. I am going to take out a washer to soften it a little.

I WOULD SERIOUSLY recommend using one. That kit is designed for older cars, with more worn out bands and such. That's why they say hit it so hard. 2 washers in there will tear the trns up. Trust me ... even a built one.

Soon as the weather breaks here I am taking it to the school/shop were I work and take one out. I knew when I put it back together with the pinless pistons 2 would be harsh but I wanted to experiment.

Your probably right. That is good advice coming from you because if I remember correctly you have been through a couple of trannys haven't ya . I blew this one up a long time ago but I rebuilt it with pretty good pieces. Nothing super fancy but I am not making your power either. I believe I will take your advice and pull both out.

i agree with Flyer and 03silverado5.3 on this one. Mine with the vette servo and 1 would still chirp at half throttle. Took the one out and still hits too hard. I'm going to swap out the 1-2 accum springs back to stock this weekend to soften it up a little bit. With a higher stall converter though I've been told it softens it up so you're probably good with the Transgo accum setup.

I just did mine last night too. I used 1 spacer and didn't drill the hole out. I also have the vette servo and a stock stall. It bumps a bit at low throttle, but is nice and firm at wot, but not a tire cherper. I think I like it where it is.
