so why are you putting back in a stock verter? i must have missed a thread or something....i think white would be sweet but it would just end up pink with fluid i'd think except for i dont think the fluid runs outside the case so never mind

Trans is fine (I hope), I had what seams to be a screwed up TCC solenoid, It would lock at times, other times it would apply really slow and slip (Like the tcc min duty cycle was set to low), Any way I was towing my boat home and it stopped locking, I through it in third and got home before the trans got too hot. Pull the pan, (yeah right it wasn't as easy as it sounds). Cross members exhaust, any way I replace the TCC solenoid. It locks like it should now but the TCC slips no matter what. The o-ring at the input shaft was in good shape when I pulled it this morning. So I figured I fried the lock-up clutch pack driving it home....
O well I didn't like 1.89 60' times anyway

Well, I just went for the first test drive. I thoiught I would be disapointed with the stock conveter, well I'm not! I can only brake boost a few psi and I'm sure my 60 foots are going to suck butt. but, at all other speeds the truck feels faster. I really think I gained rear wheel hp with the stock conveter.........
