to change your gearing and install a detroit locker in your garage at home?

I have all tools and automotive knowledge but very little experience dissassembling drums and rearends

what I'm most concerned about is setting the gear mesh properly.
is there a thread on this?

not by myself, thats why I'm asking. Ive always had help from the shop foreman or something. its not something that was done often at my dealer.

I'm fully capable of getting it done if I have specs and what not, but I know there is probably a certain degree of experience required.

I'm rebuilding my own tranny right now, which I've never done before. so far so good but we'll see when it goes back in the truck.

I used to be a tech for a living so its hard for me to pay someone else to work on my truck especially since they are so easy to work on.
