Default HOW TO.. firmer more stable ride feel....

i just got an 05 rcsb 4x4 i must say im real disappointed with how floaty and soft feeling the ride is, i also have an 00 ecsb z71 and that truck rides perfect no floaty feel and feels more stable..

my question is how to get the ride feel just right not too firm and not to soft would a shock change give me that confident more stable feel....

A nice set of Bilstein HD shocks will change the way it feels for sure. I like a solid ride also, but not harsh. My truck was too harsh with the red Tennaco Z71 shocks IMO...used to slam over bumps. After installing the Bilstein shocks, it's firm and responsive I also felt an improvement when I swapped the factory Firestone's for the BFG A/T's (I went up from 265's to 285's also)

I think the chevy ride is one of the best things about the truck. When I had 20's it didn't feel as loose but I didn't try any new shocks.
