How bad will 4.10s hurt my top end?

How fast do you usually race up to? You could set the downshifts up more aggressive and still have plenty on top end. A good thing about 4.10's in a truck is you can actually use 3rd gear and stretch it out since the your tires are pretty tall. The 2-3 is going to feel different to you, but that aside...the 4.10's will be better everywhere else.

On juice ive taken it up to 120. On motor I usually let out around 100-105. I normally dont use 3rd much cause the race is usually over by the top of 2nd. When I race I usually downshift manually and hold the gear to get what speed/rpm I want to take off at. So you think I can actually use 3rd with 4.10? With these 3.42s it really takes alot to gain alot of speed in 3rd thats why I only use 3rd sprayin

3rd gear will feel 1000 times better. It will be very awesome on the juice

Oh Hell no...lol My brother just had 4.10's put in his 04 silvy, helped it a ton, and he went from 3.42's

stick with 3.42 for roll racing. I've had it all, and nothing pulls better at 70 then 3.42s.

Yeah the 60-70 rolls feel great! Its definatly all top end with these gears.
