i bought the 3in lowerin springs for the ext cab and it dropped mine about 2.5in. i like the lower stance and a bit stiffer ride. i think some other members have done this also.

i never took the bed off, i just made sure i took the bottom bolt out first, then push the springs up and go from the inside of the frame over top of it to the bolt on the otherside of the frame rail
