Default hooking a 2wd on the street?

i'm looking for some serious traction help, i have a 2wd ext cab with about 600 rwhp. i have stock 255/75 tires on stock 16 aluminum wheels. i can hook on the street above oh lets say 60-70mph lol. i have completely stock ride height and suspension, with only caltracs. i was looking at m/t et II radials, but i don't think the 295's will fit on my stock wheels. my question is what is the best route to go here? it's my daily driver, and i have never, nor do i plan to take it to the track, i just like to run people on the street. i know i will never have 4wd traction, but i know i can get better than this. do i need to widen my wheels and get some m/t's? or will they fit? adjustable shocks? any and all advice is welcome

I have the MT 295's on a 16" wheel right now. It would look stupid if you are at stock height since they are only 28" tall. Stiff shocks and a good size tire should help a ton. I would get some 10" wide wheels and put a big tire back there to start.

Shocks are key as well just depends on the power your making. This was the other day playing with my controller to see if I could get this to hook up on fairly new aphault. It did alright, would be better on concrete.

I'm going to try m/t et streets this summer - high performance street tires are not doing the job anymore.
