I'd say normal. Mine rarely get's above 150 in winter. Runs hotter in summer (185ish) but never goes above 200 in summer.

sensor is located in the pressure test plug. The trans works just fine. I just got kinda scared when people were saying it should run at 180*! I have a factory tranny cooler if that makes a differance plus it only like 20* outside here. So would that be considerd normal for this weather?

Doing a shift kit wont make your trans run cold, even if you did something wrong which it sounds like you did an excellent job. Did you have help? did you have any issues or problems that left you wondering if it was right?

gonzo6.0- i had some help from a friend who worked at a tranny shop, and we never doubted anything during the install. I installed the gauge right after the shift kit and servo. I figured i hooked it up wrong, but after a while it went to 150*.
