Default Help pick drop, 2/4" drop 275/45/22

Just got the new set of wheels for my 2006 ECSB Silverado. They are Eagle 026's 275/45/22's. I had planned to do a 2/4 spindle drop. But I tow a fairly good amount with a fairly light car hauler and 3,500lb car. I am a little worried about towing being that low. I had a 2004 RST and I towed all the time with the same trailer and car with no issues but that was with only a 1.3/3 275/45/20 tire. Just hoping someone can chime in to tell me if I would be better off with a 1/3 drop becuase I will tow and the 275/45/22 tire size. Thanks for the help. Also I would like to keep the rake look the RST's have.

1/2 or a 1/3 would be good enough for that although 2/4 would look good

Ya if you can tow with a 265/40/22 then I will never be able to with a 275/45/22. On my regnecy with a 1.3 3 drop, it has gf 1.3 spings in the front. It had really bad bump steer, is that normal for spring drops in these trucks. I never had any bumperster issues in spindle drop trucks before.

The only kit I am seeing for around the correct lowering height is the eibach spring kit for $350 from summit. It comes with 1.5" coil for front and 2.8" leaf for the rear. Are there any better options.

I would do a 2/4 with helper bags, they are not too expensive

You could probably get away with a 2/4 and helper bags; otherwise I'd say go 1/3 since that's about a 31" tire.

Damnit; bright teal beat me to it

oh didnt notice how tall that tire is, that might be hard, unless they will tuck, if your wider than the fenderwell lip its going to be hard
