Hey all, lots of knowledgeable people here, so I figured this is the best place to ask : This will be a fast street truck, I need advice on the T-case. This won't be off-roaded but it will have lots of torque thru it.
I'm planning on a 6.0 LQ4 - 76mm Turbo - 4L80 in a 95-99 2 door Tahoe.
First of all, 800-900+ HP is easy, even pump gas and methanol is yielding 700 RWHP and low 10's at 5000Lbs....

I'd be running a 4L80 trans, and I need to figure out the best transfer case to use. I'd like to have the push-button style it comes with, after a little looking, I see there are adapters to connect the 4L80 to the existing case...what do you guys think ? I was also thinking the 2500 trucks of the same year would have a beefier case with push button ? Also, I've heard that there are some years of the 4L80 to avoid...
