Question Help Me Choose a Converter Please

I will be going with a 2400-2600 stall converter. Just didn't no which brand has been the most reliable for the money. The TB stall is not an option.
I will post the three I chose to choose from.
Thanks guys!

Jim

Everyone might be worn out from my thread...there was pretty good coverage on who liked what.

I vote for the Vigilane and consider at least a 2800 if you don't tow much.

Will be towing 6,000lbs + in the summer time. Skii boat!
That's why I choose the lower stall. Best towing converter is a stock stall, but the up coming mods can benefit from a bit more stall, but not too much.
Mods to come shortly: Dynatech LT's (already have), GT2-3 cam, Radix, sonnax servos, shift kit (zippy or Transgo), meth kit, Nelson dyno tuning and live tuning, 2/ 3.5 lowering kit (already have), and Caltracs (have them as well).
That may clear things up a bit.
What do you all think?

It's heavy and will not stand up to the abuse of my mods to come. That was already found out by many already finding this out the hard way.
A heavy converter will take away hp & tq. This increases para static drag on your entire rotating assembly.
I was originally going with the TB stall until several members here posted the problems a TB stall has under high HP & TQ applications.
For the money, it works well for mild HP & TQ applications.

Where exactly is the cutoff for mild-not mild applications. Where do people think there is too much for the TB converter to handle? I have a line on one now but don't really go for buying things twice. If it won't hold up down the road, then why bother. I have found out recently I don't like dropping trannies that much.

Strictly from customer service aspect I would go fuddle. But this is all on other people's experiences not my own.

Get one with a good, strong lockup clutch!!! Vigs triple disc is a pretty agressive converter. Lockup with one of those feels like another gear! Although, I would shy away from a small converter just because of the fact you want to tow. Small verters and towing just do not mix. I was extremely please with my 2800. Zero problems and street manners were great. Flashed to 3100 or so and shift extensions were nice also. RPM's would only drop by 400 between shifts.

TB verter is still a good choice!! Moderate stall amount and has dam good tow capability!! Silverado SS guys are beating the **** out of them and yet they break tranny input shafts before the converter lets go. Even with built trannies.

I was thinking about the 2400 10.5" Vigilante multi-disc 3 plate converter.
Will this TC work for towing applications?
Just didn't know how well PI converters stand up to the abuse of blown applications.
The TB stall works for some, but if you recall or do a search about the TB converter, there was several well known boosted application members here that frown upon the TB stall. It wasn't just one member that atated they had problems with it, it was several.
That's why I chose not use it in the pole or as one of my choices.
No offense to TB users, but it's just not my preference.
