Help 9.5 14 bolt swap?

I think 99 was the switch over year from the 8.5 to 8.6 rear end. If you had an early MY 2000 it may have the 8.5, but more than likely you've got an 8.6.

When attempting to buy 3:73 gears do both the 8.5 and 8.6 fit in the 10 bolt without any problems?

The gears are the same, but there's some differences in terms of the install kits.

yep yours would be the 10 bolt 8.6 30 spline...sometimes they will be refered to as 8.5 but officially it is 8.6

Now I'm not sure if yours is 8.5 or 8.6 I had thought they made the switch in 2000 so u may want to double check
