Default Help!

Installed the shiftkit and converter this weekend. Just got back from a test run and this is the out come.....

Just easin around it felt ok I guess, this is the first time in a truck/car with a converter, First time eased into it and spun like crazy, But when it was suposed to shift into 2nd it just hit the rev limiter(5800, normal shift points).
Came back to the house and programed the shift points at 6k and 1-2 down 6mph and 2-3 shift down 6mph.
Took it for a test run again and stalled it up this time, and the 1-2 shifted, but when in 2nd gear had no power at all. It just really fell on its face. Then from the 2nd to 3rd shift shifted fine and pulled 3rd like a mother.
Come back pulling in the drive way the truck just starts surging and shuts off. I crank it back and right as I pull up to my shop it does it again. crank it back then it (just idles) fine.

Is this normal or have a really f'ed this thing up? Any coments would be greatly appreciated.

You using the hpp3 right? The shifts will be smoother and more powerful throughout with a professional tune

As for the surging and shutting off... idk, never heard of that.

I just got back from another test run. I didnt do any thing to the truck just let it cool a little. The trip up the road was just a puut puut. There was no surging or dieing. Turned around and spun the tires over to get the dirt and mud off. Hit it and once again spun like crazy. (I love it) came time to shift from 1 to 2 and hit the rev limiter once and shifted. Then fell on its face again. Got back home and surged once and thats all. I"m not sure what the speed is but it just seems to stay tached up around the 4k range. I put in the vette servo but didnt put in a servo release check valve. Could that be the problem?

This is what the check valve says "
SONNAX® 77701-076 700R4, 4L60E Servo Release Check Valve. Helps reduce 3-4 clutch failure."
So how could this do anythig with the 2nd gear?
