hello all anyone know the strongest ring and pinion gears for a 8.5 10 bolt?

Default hello all anyone know the strongest ring and pinion gears for a 8.5 10 bolt?

ive broken 3 sets of the motive performance gears 2(4.56) 1(4.10) the 4.10 being the most recent. looking for some insight on the best/strongest brand so my ring can last i heard the numerically lower you go the stronger is that true?.... truck has moser axles, true trac,

and a girdle cover everything else is fine just the ring gets destroyed, im gonna attach some pics from the weekend of my ring from the track i was on drag radials


Truck is boosted for more info!

You hit it with a trans brake or something? I figured the factory GM ones or maybe the Yukon gears were strong enough.

Holy hell...Motive gears shouldn't shatter like that either. That's just odd.

IMO, AAM gears are the best.

I have seen that before on motive gears.

There are differences in the size of the gears based on gear ratio. The lower the gear (higher numerically), the smaller/thinner the gearset will be.

Then you have thick cut gears, offset and thin cut gears.

I ran Richmond gears in my race/street cars for years
and always had good luck with them.

I had AAM 4.10s in mine. Help up to power. Moser axles not so much, twisted up. Stock axles were stronger.
