Question Anyone know who makes Summit's ring & pinion gears?

It seems a lot of Summit's "private label" parts are made by other vendors. Does anyone KNOW who makes their ring and pinion gear sets?

And their cylinder heads are TFS, since Summit owns them, but what about the ring/pinion gears?

Don't know. but since your in the market, I recommend going to ebay and searching for Ring and Pinion. then at the bottom left you'll see "Matching Stores" look for Ron's Machineing Services.
Good prices and great parts.

His generic 410 gearset for 7.5/7.625" rear is $10 cheaper than Summit's private label generics, but over double to ship them.

In the end, Summit's still a few bucks cheaper, when delivered.

Thumbs up

Just as an FYI, I purchased some Summit 410's for my 11 second Camaro. Since this whole 342 to 410 gear swap/3 series to 2 series carrier swap is an experiment at this point, I didn't see the point in spending anymore than needed, so opted for the $149 Summit specials, lol.

I must say, they were very easy to get setup, and are as quiet as stock...I admit I was surprised, but also happy that they are.

Still have no idea who actually makes them, but at this point, I would not hesitate to use them again.

I can't wait to see if they affect my ET's like I want them to. I know they sure as heck make the car launch (and rev up) a helluva lot quicker.

Since I have my HPTuners setup to shift at 6800, but only was trapping at 5900, I expect some sort of positive results...hopefully BEFORE I grenade the newly built 10 bolt rear, LOL...
