Fack!!! Im sick of diffs! Even tho I havent been the one fixxing them. The previous owner must have just beaten this truck silly for all the problems ive had with it. Thank god I paid for the after market warranty. Maybe I can convince them to instal an E locker or LSD up front if I front parts and the warranty covers labor

 

Sorry bub, no lockers or LSD for the front diff in your truck. I've searched. You have to go 3/4 ton front diff for all that.

 

So I've noticed dang well I guess eventually 3/4 ton diff swap but for now just need it fixxed. and then finally the truck will be 100% and I will be happy.

 

Lsd in front makes turning a real mother..... Not so bad on straight aways but trying to navigate a trail becomes a pain..... Did it once in an 86 k5.... Never again!!!

 

Really? I didnt think an LSD would be bad at all. Maybe Ill just go with an E locker I probably wouldnt need it very often so It would be a long way aways. Probably wait for a legit built front end not just cheap lift and coilovers lol.

 

Well since warranty won't rebuild the front end until it breaks completely. I replaced the axle seal filler it back up and the noise is gone. Havent aactually tried 4x4 yet maybe tomorrow.

 

Id have let that eat and gone out and beat the hell out of it til it did break.... Pick n pull has a 3.73 front diff and theyre having a 50% off sale this weekend.... Too bad you arent closer!!!

 

Thought about it but tired of having the truck down for maintenance. And I have 4.10s! Non of that 3.73 crap!

 

Honestly i didnt even look at the rpocodes going off what my truck was and fact it was basically my truck but red and with dark interior...it may have 4.10.... As a matter of fact now im going to go see if i can find out tomorrow.... Never hurt anything to have a spare diff!!!

 

They have a suburban up there too that still has the 5.3.... Seriously thinking about going and grabbing it for another core....
