Default Got my new converter in... 9.5" PI

After many discussions with Vicky @ Precision we decided to go with a 9.5" converter instead of a 10.5". Well, I swaped them out this weekend and all I can say is WOW! The truck feels like its finally hauling ***. I put the slicks on and went for a test drive, on fresh concrete it spun the slicks a good 75 feet without stalling it up. I'm going to guess somewhere near a .5 reduction in 60' et's, considering it was doing 2.2's and 2.3's before. For anyone with a procharger I recommend a looser than normal converter. Huge difference. New track times coming soon...

So you went with a 3000 rpm stall? What was Vicky's reasoning for the 9.5 over the 10.5?

When I spoke to vicky the first time I told her my 10.5" (which was supposed to be a 3000 stall converter) was to tight. I told her it would only brake stall to 2350 rpm. She miss understood and thought that it would only stall that high because the brake wouldn't hold it. Actually the brake held it fine, it wouldn't even power brake with the stock tires on it. According to her, with the part number converter I gave her, that was about as loose as they could get a 10.5" converter. I told her it wasn't an everyday driver and being that the motor is so high strung, the looser the converter the better. Glancing at the logs it looks like the new one flashes to somewhere between 3300 and 3500 rpm.

PI likes to flash stall not brake stall. always been like that from my experience. I will say tho they love to flash. PI like to leave off idle when launchin

I was having the same problem with my 10.5 PI and got the 9.5 3200. I expect to get a better 60' also.
