But my converter is one of their stage 1 billet 9.5"s, they call the one I have a 3c.

Some info about the converter
9.5" Billet front and Billet piston, Furnace brazed, HD stator, Flanged Hub.

Here is part of a PM from Chris

However, mine seems to flash closer to the 3900-4000 range in my truck.
I think Chris quoated me a 3d for truck to get the 3800-4000 stall speed. Damn 4.8

i just got off the phone with Chris and ordered the same converter as you (stage 1, 3C). he said it should be between 3600 & 3800 for my application. my thinking is that it should be close to what yours is flashing or so i hope.

You're gonna love it man, its a real nice converter. They're very quick with building them and shipping them also.

He recommended his stage 1 converter even though you are spraying? Man these things must be tough.

^ You're about to make 5,000 posts bluecajun5.3! Sorry fellas..

Chris just e-mailed me back. Suggested I go with a stage 1 2C that stalls to about 3200-3400. I was kinda thinking about a PI 3600, but I'd like to check out this circle D. Chris seems to be a very good to work with.

I've made up my mind....I'm going with the vig 9.5" 3 disk 3200, which I believe is their most popular stall. A quick search on ls1tech sold me.
