I have driven both a ss3600 and scott's 3800, and I like the street manors of the CircleD, The circleD also flashes like a ****!!!, also it does not seem to lose the top end like the ss3600.... I plan on getting one like scott's when i get a built tranny...

What was the setup in each test drive (cam, weight of truck, engine size, etc)

Both trucks are tuned by DC_Justin, so there is NO problems with the tune.

When I drove them
CircleD
5.3 Ext Cab 216/220 low lift on 114, all boltons, 4.10s and truetrac

yank
5.3 RC stock cam, boltons, 4.10s truetrac

Now the same trucks at the track
CircleD
5.3 Ext Cab 216/220 low lift on 114, all boltons, 4.10s and truetrac

yank
5.3 RC 220/220 XER 114+4 RC, boltons, 4.10s truetrac

Scotts Ext Cab runs 1 hundredth faster, even thou the RC has a better 60ft. Both on slicks/drag radials not spinning.

I am pretty sure that covers the details accurately, So anymore questions... IMO circleD hands down...

Well, the difference is accounted for by the fact that the Yank probably has a higher STR. I believe it comes standard with a 2.5str. Higher str hits harder off the line (better 60) but isn't as efficient up top. I'd say a better comparison would be the SS4000 vs. scott's stall (which is also a 4000 if im not mistaken).

Just to add to the circleD/yank track comparison. The two trucks i mentioned above both dynoed on the same day, same dyno... Both 3rd gear TC locked and the RC put down 20hp/20TQ more than scott's on the same dyno same day... But they run roughly the same times...

Well, I would figure the yank 3600 would be better up top than the circleD 4000... But it isn't... It is my understanding that higher the stall rating the worse it performs up top...

If the SS3600 is peforming that bad up top, a SS4000 must be horrible....

it's the higher str makes it less efficient up top. Yank can make it to any STR you want. If you're going to compare two things, it's at least got to be apples to apples. The Yank must have been significantly tighter than the circled, right?
