Was kinda funny. About 6 months ago a regular customer brings in his 94 Dodge Dakota for a transmission service which we have been trying to sell him for a long time. His only complaint was a little hesitation on take off and a little slip into overdrive. Well i pull the pan and the fluid is ******* GROSS haha smells just the worse i have smelt yet. But then i see in the pan its like a metal scrap pile in it. I Dumped it into a container and have him come buy to see what he wants us to do, look for a trans or just put the pan on and put fluid in it till he can get the money.

Well he took it back and drove it until last week when he had a used trans put in at the local salvage yard. He said it was still shifting fine for the most part.

I guess the whole point of the story is its amazing that some people can drive there **** all fugged up forever with no problems and i see people on here have 1 small thing happen and all hell breaks loose given the power level or not haha.

Good luck with the rebuild or moving on to bigger and better.

Dustin

you could always look at it this way.... when you break something, that just means you get to UPGRADE
