Good locker

Im lookin for a good name brand limited slip locker that is around the $300-$350 price range. I have looked at the Eaton E-Z locker which is about $300, and i wanted to see if anyone has had experience with it??? Any suggestions on a good locker for about that price?

They make plenty differentials that stay limited slip until one tire loses traction then they both kick in. And trever1t i agree with you about the detroits, i know they are about the best out there, but wayy out of price range....

The only thing you're going to get for $300-350 dollars is a lunch box locker, a locker that replaces the spider gears. For that to work you have to make sure you have an open carrier.
They do not make limited slips that lock up when a tire loses traction, what your thinking of is a G80 and its never really a limited slip. It just locks up solid under power when the differential tire speed reaches 100rpms. Its a peice of junk anyways.
A locker will lock up solid under the application of power becoming a temporary spool of sorts. A limited slip never locks up solid, it just bias torque allowing you to better equally apply power to both wheels. Clutch driven units usually have a bias to the tire with less traction whereas helical gear driven units are built to bias to the tire with more traction, along without having wearable parts which is why True-tracs are so popular.
There are a couple electronic lockers that are limited slips when not engaged but thats as close as you're going to get to what your trying to describe, you won't get in one of those for less than about $600.

I'm with those guys. If you want a limited slip get the Trutrac. I did a quick search and found them for a little over $400 and you may be able to find them cheaper, but I think the little extra money you would spend on it will be worth it.
I have a Detroit locker in my 1984 K-10 and I love it. I can bump the gas going around a corner and when the locker engages the inside tire barks pretty loud. It has 35x15.5x15's on it. A full locker is more expensive tho and will cause more tire wear.
