GM/other 4.10 gears
#21
I have Yukon gears. I bought them from Randy's. The entire shooting match for 455.65 delivered to my door. Just add fluid when you are done. That is for front and rear and all the bearings and shims you need and don't need. So far they are ok.
I have had Richmond Gears before. They are different to set up from GM procedures but not that bad. They do sing a little and if you don't set it up right, it will HOWL.

I broke a three teeth off a Richmond ring and it only had about 20000 miles on it and its not like I am making a pile of power. They were easy to setup and were setup perfectly but just did'nt hold-up. The gears broke before the G80 did so i guess that dosen't say much for the gears.

i installed gm 4.10's from randys, zero noise, used a .036 pinion shim, as reccomended from aam ( i talked to someone who works there ) and it went together flawlessly, real nice pattern. we'll see how it lasts.
