gm 246 transfer case

what can you do to make a 2002 246 transfer case work in a 2003 chevy truck? the encoder wont bolt up.

Best option is to get the right year. The case back half and the clutch for the front shaft are different. Someone will come in with more info, but I don't think you can run an 02 encoder because your electronics won't like it

BTW if you happen to need to open up your 246, put in a pump rub kit while you're there.

I used this but there are cheaper options.
