Gettting our Truck to Hook Up 101

What size Nitto's are you running?
If you're wanting those to hook on the street, keep dreaming. And if you want them to hook at the track, good luck, you'll need it. I've heard very little good about Nitto drag radials...

Mine does almost exactly that at the track.. I can dead nuts hook in 40 deg temps, then 40 ft out, it will blow the tires off then, I have to pedal it, it will hook again. I fig I was hitting my bump stops, but CT bars lift the ***. I am missing the part about the clicks on the rear shocks, but I am tired also LOL

Those Nittos need to go. I had a set of 555R 325 50 15's for a few seasons and they were a disappointment. Like you said, on the street they were worse than regular street tires. On the track with a medium burnout, it was a coin toss if they would hook or spin. This was on a stock 80E converter and a mild 3.70 rear gear, so I wasn't asking a lot of the tires.
Last season I switched to a 275 60 15 Mickey Thompson ET street radial and they are WAY better.
